A CASE FOR IS‍‍‍RAEL

‍‍‍A CASE FO‍‍‍R ISRAEL‍‍‍

HOW CAN I SUPPORT ISRAEL?

GOD still LOVES and

Has a PLAN for ISRAEL

"The gifts and callings of God are irrevocable."                                  - Paul the Apostle

***

This well-known verse is specifically written about the people of Israel. Paul writes extensively in Romans 9-11 about his heart for his kinsmen and the fact that God is not finished with the physical sons of Abraham. Paul affirms that Israel is loved by God for the sake of the fathers. God promised Abraham that He would bless his offspring and give them a land for their own and that He would bless the nations through them.

One of the great fulfillments of Biblical prophecy in modern times is the miraculous return of an ethnic people that were scattered throughout the world to their ancestral homeland.  This event is unique in human history and took place against all odds.

But what is even more exciting is that God  is not finished with His plan. Israel plays a key role in the future of the world and the return of the Messiah. The end-time prophecies of Daniel, Zechariah, Isaiah and many others are yet to be complete and the city of Jerusalem and the physical children of Israel have a major role to play in all of it.  The last chapter for Israel is that they will ALL be saved by the returning Messiah.

The story of Israel is the story of the Bible and both ethnic Israel and spiritual Israel have an important part in God's heart and God's plan for the redemption of the world.

The

The NATION of ISRAEL

does NOT deserve a BAD press

"Let us make it clear that we will never turn our backs on our steadfast friends in Israel, whose adherence to the democratic way must be admired by all friends of freedom.”

                                       - John F. Kennedy

The one true democracy in the Middle East, which has a better record in its treatment of minorities than any of its neighbors, is the target of over 80% of all UN resolutions. Many main-stream media outlets like CNN, BBC and CBS are well documented in their lopsided treatment of Israel. The BDS movement has done much to portray Israel as an apartheid state around the world and especially on the college campuses of America. Yet the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians is a difficult historical problem which stems from Israel's long standing fight for survival. It has well been said that if the Arab nations laid down their arms, there would be peace in the Middle East, but if Israel laid down theirs, they would disappear tomorrow. The only reason there is any negotiations with Israel or talk of even a "two-state" solution is because of Israel's military advantage. One can wonder if the world would look on again and do nothing, as it did in WWII, if Israel could easily be destroyed by it's enemies. That is a risk that Israel cannot take.  So, while Israel is a flawed nation with much to repent for, it still shines as a beacon of civil rights and Judeo/Christian values in a world that constantly condemns her.
